BM Half Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1323
    Reading:  126
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1404
    BP:  126/63
    Pulse:  61

That's right. It took an hour, from 1300 to 1400, to get her from eyes-open to taking her blood pressure in the bathroom. In the meantime, though, we talked "birthday dinner" in her bedroom.
Today was her at-home birthday dinner. She had a normal breakfast, but since it came so late, she had no lunch. Her nap was late (although short), as well. Very late. By the time she awoke, dinner was almost ready to be served: Kirkland ham with a maple/curry glaze; a baked sweet potato (I found two very small ones); peas heated with chopped, sauteed bacon, onion, green pimiento stuffed olive, celery and garlic and my Greek/Italian dressing mixture.
Yes, there was dessert, as well, a couple of hours later, which is when she got her second set of pills (her second iron pill was served with dinner): A luscious looking brownie-cake confection with loads of toasted pecans (my mother's favorite nut) on top, glued down with caramel and chocolate sauce, served a la mode with a scoop of Haagen Daz creme brulee ice cream.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1535: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
Although she retired a little before midnight, she was up three times, reminiscing about the dinner, other similar dinners, and, finally, making plans for Christmas this year. I think the last time she went to bed was around 0230, 8/2/06, although I couldn't swear to that. All I know is that when I went to be at 0300, it seemed like she'd gone back to bed about a half hour before.
