Today's Stats:
Breakfast
New procedure, which I discussed in The Mom & Me Journals dot Net: I'm not going to take her blood pressure any more at breakfast and lunch, unless it appears to be necessary for health reasons. I think her blood pressure will remain steadier, over all, if I bother her, during times of good health, only once a day. The best time to take it, for both of us, is evening, when she's settled in her rocker, reading or watching TV, and she's been sitting there, at rest, for awhile.
Yes, there was a considerable lag between the time I awoke her (noon straight up), the time she extended a hand for blood sugar testing and the time that she finally ate breakfast. It was a very slow day for her, today; but, her appetite was good, so I'm not worried about her being sick.
Lunch
Although lunch would seem at a proper interval from breakfast, this is getting out of hand, these late mornings. Obviously, a proper interval between lunch and dinner would put us eating dinner between 2300 and 0000. Not acceptable, mainly because my day actually has to start quite a bit earlier than noon, every day, and I can't be going to bed every night at 0100 or 0200 and getting up at 0600 or 0700. We talked about this, tonight, which I'll discuss in The Mom & Me Journals dot net.
Just Desserts Dinner
I have to admit, I held my breath when taking her blood sugar this evening. I was hoping that it would be in a normal range so that she'd be able to tolerate the Just Desserts dinner I'd already promised her. The 120 at lunch made me a little anxious, especially since "dinner" occurred less than 3 hours after lunch. No problem, as it turns out. Good. When she isn't up as much, during the day, it works better not to feed her as much.
