Today's Stats:
Breakfast
You'll noticed that breakfast occurred quite an unusual while after her blood sugar reading this morning. And that I administered a 5 mg tab of metaclopramide 1/2 hour before breakfast. For an explanation of what happened this morning and why I medicated her as I did, see today's post at The Mom & Me Journals dot Net. The link will take you right to it.
I decided to take her blood pressure this morning to see if anything else strange was showing up. It's fine, right in her normal range. So, I think her nausea may have just been a reaction to the antibiotic. I had planned to cut back to one 291.66 dose a day today, anyway, so that's what I'll do. With dinner. Just as a precaution I may administer metaclopramide just before she eats dinner.
Lunch
She felt a little warm when she awoke from her nap so I decided to take her temperature. We use an arterial thermometer, which always registers a little high, so 100.7 isn't as high as it sounds, but high enough for some relief.
Her blood sugar was higher than usual, but this is typical when she's on some antibiotics, so I'm not worried about it.
Dinner
No iron. If she stays up past 2130 I'll give her iron and vitamin C then. Although her blood pressure is well within normal range for her, I'm a little concerned because it's dropped to normal so quickly. I'm hoping that it will remain in her normal range tomorrow. It it starts to drop below that, along with everything else her body is experiencing, she may also be experiencing anemia. I hope not.
I dropped her lisinopril down to 1/4 of a pill, although I wanted to make sure she continued to receive it.
