Awakened: at 1230 - slept 12h.
Flushed a lot of water during the night; probably connected to her unusually high BG this morning.

  • Protonix 40 mg;
  • 500 mg Vitamin C

  • 14 oz diluted orange juice mixture (2/3 cup juice, the rest water) with 5 tsp Benefiber
  • 2 pieces bacon, defatted
  • 1 egg, heavily peppered, fried, defatted
  • 1 piece low carb, low sugar, whole wheat toast with approx. 1 Tbl corn oil margarine and 1/2 tsp Vietnamese Cassia cinnamon
  • 16 oz detox tea, drunk slowly between breakfast and her nap
Other Meds & supplements administered with breakfast:
  • 1,000 mg garlic
  • 1 Senior Vitamin
  • 1 81 mg aspirin
  • 1 oz pure Aloe Vera gel
Walkered: Three laps outside on driveway between 1500 and 1530; approx 1/12th of a mile.

Napped: from 1700 - 1830.

  • 11.5 oz V-8 juice with 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 oz roasted, salted peanuts
Served her 16 oz cup of decaf coffee at 1945.

Dinner served at 2115:
  • Costco Chicken Pot Pie including:
    • lots of chicken
    • lots of vegetables
    • lots of sauce
    • lots of crust
    • served w/a generous dollop of sour cream
Meds and supplements administered about 1/2 hour before dinner:
  • 1 Oscal tablet
  • glipizide ER 10 mg
  • Macrodantin
  • 1 Niferex-150 Forte tablet
  • 1,000 mg garlic
  • 400 IU vitamin E
  • 1 oz pure Aloe Vera gel
From her nap through to retiring she drank about 32 oz decaf coffee

Energy Level: Started the day dazed (probably from unusually high BG), but settled out over the rest of the day. Her walkering session outside went very well, including speed, relaxation and uprightness while walkering. She rested after each lap but that was no big deal. I've noticed, though, that, although she seems well alert, I've had to badger her to get up and take her tissues to the garbage and go to the bathroom regularly. I also couldn't interest her in an evening walkering session without harassing her, so I let it go. She was happy to sit and watch the Animal Planet channel on TV. I have to admit, there were some interesting programs on tonight.

Leg Rubdown: between 2310 and 2340.

Retired: at 2350; she read in bed until 0020, 9/11/06, when her light went out.

Meds & Supplements Administered at bedtime:
  • Niferex-150 non-Rx capsule
  • 10 mg lisinopril
