Last night's dessert is showing up in Mom's morning blood glucose. I'm not sure what's going on with her blood pressure, except that this is yet another morning when her feet have been a bit pudgy when she awoke. I'm keeping my eye on it.
Breakfast again substituted Honey Baked Ham slices for bacon and The Wildflower Bread Company's cranberry scones for toast. She did eat a light lunch of assorted pickles (including a few Bread & Butter pickles, not MCS's) and peanuts. Today, though, her evening BG wasn't nearly as high as it was yesterday after she downed a good quarter of a jar of those same B&B pickles.
Although we'd planned something different, we both decided we'd rather have Cobb salad: Loads of chopped fresh vegetables; very lean, deli sliced pastrami; freshly grated Parmesan cheese; green pimiento stuffed olives; crumbled Nachos Doritos instead of croutons; home made Ranch dressing. We also had the second Mother's Day dessert: A slice of Ginger Biscotti cheesecake, also from The Wildflower Bread Company.
No extra meds (the second glipizide is now no longer "extra"), but I forgot her second iron capsule.
She retired at 2355. Her light went out at 0030, 5/15/06.
