Today was a laid back, little movement, lots of sleep day for Mom. She seemed to need a day to relax, sleep as much as she wanted and let her body catch up to her prodigious mental energy level of late. I decided, though, not to let her night-sleep extend past 1400. When I entered her bedroom to awaken her, she was up on her elbow, ready to roll. I silently congratulated myself for knowing her rhythms so well.
Breakfast was almost normal. I substituted HoneyBaked Ham for her usual bacon.
She also took a nap, from 1700 - 1900, and wasn't interested in lunch. Since she wasn't "particularly hungry", I decided to just give her coffee and make a hearty Cobb Salad, with all the usual ingredients, for dinner. No third glipizide, tonight.
We spent the evening watching a movie, talking about it, eating dinner, relaxing with each other, you know the drill.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 0005, 9/19/06, as she was preparing for bed: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
She retired at 0025. Her light went out at 1245.
