Dinner (only meal recorded): Home made burgers on almost stale onion buns, Mom's topped with yellow sharp Cheddar, mine with Vermont extra sharp White Cheddar; both topped with dill pickle relish (which I whipped up from some mini dills and roasted, pickled red peppers since we were out of the commercial kind and, I have to say, it was gooood), bottomed with a thick slice of Bermuda onion and accompanied with 11.5 oz V-8 juice.
I also forgot to administer her bedtime dose of lisinopril last night, but her BP was unusually low for a morning reading, probably due to my lack of usual enthusiasm over her awakening.

Combined No-stat Days: 1/17 - 1/19/06

1/17/06
Dinner (only meal recorded): Mom had her beloved Costco chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. I couldn't stomach the thought. It's very easy for me to get tired of it. It's soooo salty, the crust is way too sweet, there aren't enough vegetables and the chicken has only the texture of chicken, not the taste. I suppose this is why Mom loves it.

1/18/06: BM
Dinner (only meal recorded): My sausaged up marinara over rotini with plenty of freshly shredded Parmesan.
Bowel Movement occurred at 1430: Good volume; excellent consistency; easy elimination; very easy clean-up.

1/19/06
Dinner (only meal recorded): My beloved grilled Canadian uncured ham and Jarlsburg Swiss cheese sandwiches with a side "salad" of radishes, carrot and celery sticks and green, pimiento stuffed olives. Later I felt like a piece of home made Granny Smith apple/dried raspberry/toasted almond pie so, of course, Mom had a piece, too. Delicious.

BM Varied Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1309
    Reading:  129
Lunch Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1817
    BP:  124/64
    Pulse:  64

For dinner I gave her a choice of chicken/Parmesan ravioli with tomato/basil marinara or Canadian ham and Jarlsburg Swiss cheese sandwiches on sourdough with mustard and V-8 juice. She chose the latter. I was pleased. It was my yen for Jarlsburg and Canadian ham that led to this sandwich interlude in our diet. I'm considering a Cobb Salad tomorrow with both ingredients. Every once in awhile I just have to have Jarlsburg Swiss and after awhile of Mom's favorite hams, all sweet, I have to remind myself of what merely smoked ham tastes like.
Bowel Movement occurred at 1520: Fairly good volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up. It surprises me every time I find myself boosting her Benefiber® and discovering that the newly adjusted dose is exactly what she needs. I'm wondering what dose she'll be taking when she plateaus.
