I had no good reason for not taking dinner stats. I just forgot. We are still doing ham for breakfast.
Lunch was her usual V-8 juice and peanuts with havenily cottage cheese added.
Dinner? I'm trying to think...Oh, yeah. We had separate dinners. She wasn't that hungry, just wanted dessert, again, so I gave her cherry pie. I wanted left over rice and broccoli with Hollandise...so that's what I had.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at about 2200: Poor volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
She went to bed at 2300 straight up. Light went out at 2315.

I don't remember an awful lot about this day, including what she ate for dinner. Breakfast continued to include ham and lunch was her usual, although I'm remembering that she also had heavily peppered cottage cheese with her V-8 juice and peanuts. Only two iron pills today.

Her Bowel Movement occurred during her bathing at 1230: Poor volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.

BM Non-Stat Day:

And just as well, too. Mom spent most of the day in bed. This included two naps before "breakfast", which was formally served at about 1645, although around 1100 she had toast, sitting on the edge of her bed, some of her pills (in an attempt to get in three iron capsules, which failed, yesterday), then, because she was dry, she saw "no reason" to get up. I asked her how long she wanted me to let her sleep.
"Oh, you know, around there," which means, "Let me sleep until I fucking get up!"
She arose again around 1400 to use the bathroom. I headed in expecting to launch a bath. All she wanted was an underwear change. She was going back to bed. I decided to check her bed. If it was wet, as I suspected, she was getting up. Period. It was dry. She went back to bed.
Upshot? She actually took a "nap" around 1900. She had some food (other than breakfast, which I served on the hefty side, including ham), three 1 oz bags of peanuts and an 11.8 oz can of V-8 juice, around 2200. That's all she wanted. She stayed up until just before 0400 this 4/20/06 morning. That's when I went to bed.
I asked her several times if she wanted food of some sort. She had some tangerine juice around 0200. It's amazing what's on TV to watch at that hour, by the way.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 2130: Fairly poor volume; smeary consistency; very easy elimination; somewhat challenging clean-up.

I didn't have the heart to awaken Mom any earlier than she got herself up, this morning. It just seemed like it was going to be a verrrry sloooow day for her, and it was. Her stats look good, though.
Breakfast again involved ham, but no more scones, thank the glycemic gods.
She took a pretty hefty nap, today: Almost three hours. I let her go. She seemed in good spirits during the evening. Really enjoyed dinner, which was ham sandwiches, she opted for cheese on hers, between slices of sourdough bread with mustard, pickled asparagus spears and Variety Chips (the bottoms of a couple of bags).
I've had her on oxygen when she's up on and off for the past two days, including today. Although she gives no other indications of fluid retention, she has been mouth breathing a lot today.
Yes, another bowel movement, occurring just before her bathing at 1250: Almost excellent volume; somewhat smeary consistency; very easy elimination; somewhat challenging clean-up.

Believe me, we ate the last of the scones for breakfast tomorrow, so her evening BG should be dropping dramatically from here on out. She's still having ham with her egg, though.
Lunch was her usual, V-8 juice and peanuts with her second iron capsule.
We almost had several things for dinner, tonight: The last of the chicken with rice and broccoli, ham and cheese sandwiches, Tuna en Potatoes au Gratin...I started polling Mom about two hours before dinner. Finally, an hour before dinner, she decided that a Just Desserts dinner would be in order, "...then you can freeze the rest of the sweet stuff, I won't want any after tonight."
I can trust her word. She won't, for quite awhile. It doesn't take much to sugar out my sugar, anymore, which is amazing. If you'd known her during her prime you would have sworn Her Prime Self is a completely different person than Her Ancient Self when it comes to food.
So, for dinner she got her choice of desserts. She chose Costco's Tiramisu. "I hope this freezes well," she said as she savored it.
Her Bowel Movement occurred as she was getting ready for bed at 2330: Poor volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up. I'm surprised she is eliminating so regularly, practically every day, sometimes twice a day. It could be the extra iron: This type is manufactured with something that's supposed to "ease digestion", which may mean, ease the last part of digestion. No matter. This is good for her body.
She was slow and loegy today. As she said when I expressed concern, "[She's] allowed."
No extra meds today. I almost gave her 10 mg furosemide when I noticed, as I rubbed down her legs in the evening, that her feet were swelling in a way they haven't in a couple of months. But, we both decided to see if she sheds it while she sleeps.
She was in bed by 2340. Light was out a few minutes before midnight.

Yes, it's Easter. Yes, she had ham for breakfast, and one of those delicious cranberry scones from The Wildflower Bread Company, which accounts for her high BG at night. No, we didn't have ham for dinner; we opted for roast chicken and Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice (Original Recipe); and cherry pie for dessert. Yes, I gave her an extra glipizide at dinner. Yes, she had V-8 juice and peanuts for lunch a couple of hours before dinner and had her second of three iron capsules.
Her first Bowel Movement occurred at 1120 before we bathed her this morning: Fairly good volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; easy clean-up. Her second Bowel Movement occurred just as she was getting ready for bed at 2340: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
She slipped between her sheets at 2355. Her light went out at 0010, 4/7/06.
