BM BM Half Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1354
    Reading:  111
P.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  2114
    Reading:  105

Dinner: Chili dogs with kosher beef polish sausage, the home made chili from a couple of nights ago lightened (from it's severe spicy-hot state) with mild chipotle salsa on bolillo rolls.
Her first Bowel Movement occurred at 1315: Fairly good volume; good consistency; very easy elimination; somewhat smeary clean-up. Her second Bowel Movement occurred at 1740: Fairly poor volume, a wind-up of her early bowel movement, I think; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up. The laxative didn't clean her out but got her bowels moving.
She was up from 1255 to 0100 February 19th, with a nap that lasted less than an hour, beginning at 1700. Her lunch was light: Two 1 oz bags of peanuts (that's all she wanted) and coffee.

Dinner: Home made egg salad sandwiches on sourdough bread; lots of pickled asparagus spears.
Lunch, which I'm mentioning because her blood sugar was so good at dinner: Served at 1830: 3/4 cup heavily peppered cottage cheese; four pimiento stuffed green olives; 1 oz bag salted peanuts.
At 0030 2/18/06 (yes, she is still up) she thought she was going to have a bowel movement. Didn't happen. So, I gave her 1.5 Tbl Phillip's Milk of Magnesia and insisted that she finish her coffee afterwards. It's 0105, 2/18/06. We're both still up. We're watching the first hour of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. We caught the last hour and 40 minutes earlier this evening and it was so intriguing we decided to catch the first hour when it repeated.

Review of days since 2/10/06

I've been in a surprise pretty-bad-funk since the 10th. I'm surprised I've been taking stats at all, although I've been doing pretty good, I see, as I perform stat ketchup today.
    A few notes regarding 2/11/06 - 2/16/06:
  • One of the reasons I avoided taking her blood pressure is that my mood has been pretty consistently black and I knew (as some of the evidence shows) that my irritation and funk would affect her blood pressure.
  • Her lunches have been consisting of V-8 juice, pickles of some type, and 1 oz bags of peanuts (which she loves); if she deigns to eat lunch. A couple of times she's refused anything but V-8 juice. One or two days, she refused that.
  • She been rising late and going to bed very late. One morning she was up until 0230; I can't remember which morning that was. Mostly, she's been going to bed between 0100 and 0200. Most of this has been, I think, because I've been letting her sleep in, simply because I couldn't face her "early" every day. As it turns out, though, it appears that regardless of when she awakens, she usually goes to bed 12-13 hours later. She has been taking naps, about average in length: 1-1.5 hours. These usually occur during the early evening.
  • Although I've been moody and difficult, she's been her usual optimistic, "up" self.
  • No movement, other than what's been going on around home. I tried to get her out last Saturday when a trip to Costco was needed. But, I was already "going under" and didn't put up a fight to refusal.

Dinner was home made cheese (yellow sharp Cheddar for Mom) burgers on onion buns with thick slices of Bermuda onion and dill pickle relish.
I gave her an adult aspirin at dinner: Continued "iffy" knees.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1310: Good volume; smeary consistency although held together in toilet; very easy elimination; somewhat challenging clean-up.

Combined Non-Stat Days: 2/13 - 2/14/06

2/13/06: BM
Dinner: KFC (one thigh) with cole slaw; home prepared corn on the cob; a KFC biscuit.
Her B Movement occurred at 1625: Excellent volume; smeary consistency but held together well; very easy elimination; somewhat challenging clean-up.

2/14/06
Dinner was home made chili and corn bread. The chili was, surprisingly, spicier than Mom likes, which is amazing considering that she can handle hot-hot, so I put lots of sour cream in her chili.
She got an adult aspirin in the morning because her knee was "giving [her] fits".
