Breakfast: Normal holiday breakfast. Not sure why her BG is so high, considering what we ate, last night. Could just be the lack of movement during this period.
    Lunch: Just coffee.
Dinner: Roasted chicken; Uncle Ben's Long Grain and Wild Rice with sun dried tomatoes; Peas with bacon and sauteed onions, garlic, celery, green peppers and green, pimiento stuffed olives.
Bowel Movement occurred at 1830: Good volume; good consistency; very easy elimination; slightly challenging clean-up. I am, by the way, astonished that she has had three "good volume" bowel movements in three days.
She retired at 0130, 12/17/06. Light out at 0150.

As she continues to answer Calls of Nature at night after going to bed, her arisings happen later, but so do her bedding downs. Tonight, for instance, as I write this, it is 0249, 12/13/06, and she is sitting in her rocker eating dessert, a slice of the frozen Mud Slide Brownie. I gave her an extra 10 mg glipizide to cover it. It'll be interesting to see what her blood glucose is like whe she arises later today (I'm sure that arising will not happen before noon). This is the first night she's stayed up this late. I wasn't surprised when she said she was hungry. I, of course, suggested some pickles and maybe some crackers and cheese left over from dinner tonight. Nope, she said, "I need something sweet." So, I guess you could say she has had three meals, today.
    Breakfast: Normal holiday breakfast.
    Lunch: None, just coffee.
Dinner: We received a Swiss Colony meat and cheese basket as a gift today. I prepared plates from it with sliced cheese, meat, crackers, pickles, olives and added slices of a pear I picked up from the natural foods market that I wanted to try. Mom's plate, in particular, was particularly hefty, as she loves this kind of food and I wanted to give her a chance to try everything. I didn't expect her to clean her plate, but she did. And, now, she's just finished off that piece of brownie!
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1430: Good volume; good consistency, a little smeary; very easy elimination. Very easy clean-up.
She's just now announcing that she feels like she might be ready for bed, and that she doesn't think she'll be reading in bed tonight. It is now 0257, 12/13/06. I'll report on her final retirement when I arise, probably just slightly before noon, tomorrow.
Light out immediately after retiring, at 0310.

Combined Non Stat Days: 12/10 - 12/11/06

12/10/06: No Stats
It was one of those volatile atmospheric pressure days when Mom was not amenable to having her fingers pricked, have her wrist latched into a BP cuff...and she told me so. She also slept later than usual, despite three separate attempts at arousal. Once up, though, she felt good and took only a very short nap.     Breakfast: Normal holiday breakfast.
Lunch: Double her usual peanuts, at her request, and coffee.
Dinner: Just desserts, this time, the last piece of cake from the Costco chocolate cake I bought in early summer (or, maybe, late spring, can't remember) and ice cream, at her request. I gave her 20 mg glipizide at dinner, rather than her usual 10 mg.
She retired originally at 0100. Light out at 0130. She was up again at 0145, and finally retired at 0230.
12/11/06: No Stats
    Breakfast: Normal Holiday Breakfast.
Lunch: Coffee and two 1 oz bags of peanuts.
Dinner: Potato soup with added fried, defatted bulk sausage and sauteed celery, onion, garlic and green pepper.
    Retired: 0115, 12/12/06. Light out: 0145.
Once again, as has been true the past couple of nights (or more), she was up and down a couple of times for bathroom calls.
