Today was the very laid back company-left-this-morning day. Mom slept a lot; we ate light and tended to eat when we felt like it, mostly from a fruit tray that I introduced at breakfast this morning; we'd forgotten to eat from it, yesterday. Mom also had eggs and bacon a little later...a some Red White & Blue toast a little later...then, finally, for dinner, more fruit tray fruit and another scone. Because she had slept so much, I administer her pills with her "dinner", which happened around 2000, and didn't take her stats, either. So, I decided to take them just before she retired. That's when I saw to it she polished off her pills.
Her Bowel Movement occurred during bathing, about 1245: Fairly good volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
She retired at midnight, 07/09/06. Her light was off by 0030.

BM Half Stat Day:

Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1312
    Reading:  125
Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1527
    BP:  147/72
    Pulse:  58

Again, I considered a no stat day but decided to take her A.M. BG, anyway, to see what the pizza did for her. Then, later on in the day I decided to try out the new BP wrist cuff I had to purchase; the LED display on the other one is disappearing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to cross check it with the old meter. I tried, but by that time the LED display was making no sense at all (yes, Virgina, replaced the batteries when it first began acting up).
Anyway, breakfast was normal, bacon and eggs with Red White & Blue bread toast.
Lunch, again, happened on the fly. I know for sure she had some multigrain crackers with artichoke/garlic dip (cream cheese base).
Dinner was baked salmon and a Lazy Susan sort of vegetable tray with fresh cut carrots, celery, who sugar snap beans and sweet little grape tomatoes.
Her Bowel Movement occurred around 1500: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.
We all, again, retired around midnight. Lights all went off at the same time.

Half Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1257
    Reading:  142
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1325
    BP:  127/63
    Pulse:  54

I almost didn't do her BP, today, considering that Mom was awakening to the arrival of company, but, at the last minute, when she was settled in the bathroom for bathing (about 45 minutes after she awoke) and had just had a bowel movement I decided, ahhh, what the hell. I'm curious.
I trying, now, to remember what we ate that day:
  • Breakfast:
      Wildflower Bread Company cranberry scones
    Boiled eggs
  • Lunch:
No lunch, as such, although people snacked all day on, hmmm...whatever they could find. I do remember the popcorn late in the afternoon while we played a game.
  • Dinner:
Our favorite pizza from our favorite local pizza place
Dinner, as I recall, took place close to 2200.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at about 1315: Fair volume; fair consistency; very easy elimination; slightly challenging clean-up.
We all retired around midnight. Everyone's light went out at the same time.

BM No Stat Day:

Breakfast normal, except for the substitution of a cherry-almond scone for toast. Adult aspirin administered instead of 81 mg aspirin.
Lunch was normal: V-8 juice and peanuts.
Dinner served at almost 2200: The rest of the bean and ham soup and another cherry-almond scone.
All meds taken today, even though it was a short day.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1715: Fairly good volume; somewhat loose consistency; not really easy elimination; easier than expected clean-up.
She retired at 0010, 7/06/06. Her light went off at 0035.

BM Full Stat Day:

A.M. Blood Glucose:

    Reading:  115
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1414
    BP:  128/71

    Pulse:  60

Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1400: Fair volume; slightly loose consistency; very easy elimination; slightly challenging clean-up.
We had polish sausage for breakfast instead of bacon. Although she'd awakened at 1330 (I forgot to take stats until just before breakfast) and she had a full bath, which usually helps stimulate her if she's loegy, she was really under the weather, yesterday, and we actually didn't have any weather to speak of, although the pressure went down and up pretty quickly, yesterday. Just no rain.
She took a nap from 1630 to 1830. Had a lunch of peanuts and V-8 juice. Dinner was tuna sandwiches on that wonderful organic bread and, let's see, Mom had Doritos Nachos Cheese Chips and I had pickled asparagus spears.
She retired at 2355; her light went out at 0045, 7/5/06. (I know...she read a looong time; but I think it's because she wasn't up much, today.)

    Normal breakfast; no substitutions.
Only two meals because of a late arising and an extended nap.
Dinner was the Easy Ham & Bean Soup, with everything I could find that seemed compatible souped into it, seved over a few standard tortilla chips and sharp yellow Cheddar shaved over the top.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1355, just after arising: Excellent volume; slightly loose consistency; very easy elimination; somewhat challenging clean-up.
She retired at 0030, 7/3/06. Her light went off at 0050.
