Combined Half Stat Days: 7/20 - 7/22/06

7/20/06: BM
A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1351
    Reading:  125
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1412
    BP:  116/70
    Pulse:  60

Actual awakening time was 1330; we played with the cats and talked for quite awhile before Mom headed into the bathroom.
    Breakfast: Normal.
Lunch: She didn't want V-8 juice, which was fine because I'd planned Cobb salads for dinner; so she had her usual peanuts and coffee instead of V-8 juice.
Cobb salads using the left over salmon from two nights ago, which I'd marinated in lemon juice, a variety of fresh vegetables, chopped green pimiento stuffed olives, freshly grated Parmesan, crumbled Parmesan Cracker Bread as croutons, Greek/Italian dressing.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 0015, 7/21/06: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.     She retired at 0030, 7/21/06. Her light has yet to go out. I'll report back when it does.
Her light went out at 0100.

7/21/06
Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1339
    Reading:  113
Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1412
    BP:  130/64
    Pulse:  60

She's become especially annoyed, within the last few days, at having her stats taken at dinner, so I'm slacking off a bit and taking it day by day. She's doing well enough so that I'm not worried that I'm not picking up on anything.
    Breakfast was normal.
    Lunch was normal.
Dinner was Mac & Cheese with the usual additions; ground meat, a variety of vegetables and extra cheese.
Her first retirement took place at 0030, 7/22/06; light went out at 0100. A few minutes later her light blazed back on. I dashed in, thinking something might be the matter. "Are you okay, Mom?"
"Yes, I just couldn't stop thinking about the last paragraph I read and I wanted to see what happened next." At this point, her light stayed on until 0130.

7/22/06
A.M. Blood Glucose:
    Time:  1346
    Reading:  137
A.M. Blood Pressure:
    Time:  1428
    BP:  135/64
    Pulse:  60

As you can see, despite the fact that she was extremely sluggish (almost an hour between taking her BG (which I normally take as soon as I can convince to loll a hand over the edge of the bed after initial awakening) getting up this morning. Once she got going, though, she was fine.
Normal breakfast. Substituted an adult buffered aspirin for her normal 81 mg dose; although she didn't complain of stiffness, I noticed that she looked stiff.
Normal lunch. Very short nap; maybe a half hour. She claimed she didn't sleep and, this time, she may not have.
Dinner was the rest of the Mac & Cheese from last night and quick pickled (without sugar) beets.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1615: Fair volume; excellent consistency; very easy elimination; very easy clean-up.     She retired at 0045, 7/23/06. Her light went off at 0100.

    Breakfast: Normal.
Lunch: Negligible. Just the V-8 juice. I'm not sure why, but she barely napped today, too. She was "down" for less than a half hour, then leaning over the railing separating the foyer from the livingroom, complaining that she couldn't sleep.
Dinner: California sushi (which means it had no fish in it) and the rest of the Cheese rotini/artichoke/nicoise olive/parmesan/feta salad from last night. With some grape tomatoes.
Her Bowel Movement occurred at 1335 (she was up and heading into the bathroom at 1330): Excellent volume; good consistency; very easy elimination; somewhat smeary clean-up. She also had a minor Bowel Expulsion at 1930, which she thought was just a big fart when she sat down on the toilet...the dregs of her previous BM, I guess.
She retired at 0030 7/20/06. Her light just went out at 0050.

Mom had showed keen interest, last night, in some Denny's restaurant commercials advertising breakfast with both bacon and sausage, so that's the breakfast I whipped up for her this morning, to her delight.
    Lunch was normal.
